Shipping & Delivery

What is NOOZ’s shipping policy?

NOOZ offers free 2-5 day shipping on orders over $25. Items shipping as freight may take longer than 5 days to arrive.

To qualify for free shipping, your order merchandise total before savings and estimated tax needs to be at least $25. (You can’t combine multiple orders to reach that number.) Small orders are more expensive to fulfill, so you’ll have to pay a $3.50 shipping charge on orders under $25 — which means that ordering more at once will definitely get you better value.

To make sure we can get items marked with 2-day delivery to you in two days, you need to place your order by 2 PM in the time zone to which your stuff is being shipped. Keep in mind that two days means two business days — we let the NOOZ Heads take a break every now and then, so orders placed on Friday, Saturday or over major holidays may take a little bit longer than two days. There’s no delivery on Sunday or major holidays.

We can’t control delays caused by carriers, information errors, changes to orders or bad weather. (Although we’re working on the weather thing.) But if you ever feel like a delay is our fault, or even if you’re just worried about where your stuff is, please reach out and we’ll see what we can do to help — waiting forever is not fun at all, and we want you to be happy. That said: In case of delays caused by a zombie apocalypse, you’re on your own.

Do all orders qualify for free shipping?

To qualify for free shipping, your order merchandise total before savings and estimated tax needs to be at least $25. (You can’t combine multiple orders to reach that number.) For orders below $25, we charge a fixed shipping fee of $3.50.

Where does NOOZ ship?

We only ship to the 48 contiguous U.S. states and the District of Columbia right now. If you’re in Alaska or Hawaii, which are both amazing places, we’re sorry and we want to be shipping there as soon as we can.

Where do my NOOZ packages ship from?

NOOZ orders are delivered either from the warehouses in New York. NOOZ selects retailers that can fulfill your shipment in the most efficient, cost-effective way.

Your order may occasionally be fulfilled by a retailer other than the one stated at checkout, but you will always pay the same price.

Why do I sometimes get a box from NOOZ and sometimes from a different retailer altogether?

NOOZ selects the retailer that can most efficiently fulfill your order. When it’s most cost-effective for NOOZ to send you your items, you receive items straight from our warehouse in a purple NOOZ box. When we select a different retailer, you receive an item from that retailer in their packaging.

Sometimes I get a package from a different retailer with a packing slip and invoice that show different prices or shipping charges for the products I bought than what I paid on NOOZ. Why is that?

When one of our retail partners fulfills your NOOZ order, the price you pay is what you saw on NOOZ. Sometimes our partners sell those items at different prices on their own sites, and that’s what shows up on the invoice. Visit the Order History page in the Account section of the site to see the complete, correct details of what you paid for items purchased at NOOZ, along with the savings you earned.

When I get a package from a non-NOOZ retailer for an item bought at NOOZ, sometimes the invoice lists a credit card, billing address, or email address that are not mine. Why is that?

Your order may occasionally be fulfilled by a retailer other than the one stated at checkout, but you will always pay the same price. In those cases, we purchase the item ourselves on your behalf: Your privacy is important to us, and we would never share your personal information with a retailer with whom you had not agreed to share it.

How does delivery work for oversized items like furniture and appliances?

When you order an oversized item, you’ll be given an estimated delivery date range, and then a delivery company will call you to schedule the exact delivery window. Your shipment will be delivered to your doorstep, but some carriers offer the option to upgrade to “room of choice” or “white glove” service for an additional fee — if you’re interested, just ask about it when they call.

What is “room of choice” service?

“Room of choice” service means that your oversized items will be delivered right to the room or outdoor location of your choice — not just to your doorstep. Some carriers offer the option to upgrade to this service, just ask the delivery company when they call to schedule your delivery. You’ll have to pay an additional fee, but do you really feel like figuring out how to get that refrigerator inside yourself?

What is “white glove” service?

“White glove” service takes “room of choice” service one step further. You won’t just get your oversized item delivered to the room or outdoor location of your choice — it’ll be unboxed and set up, and all the packaging will be taken away so you don’t have to deal with it. Some carriers offer the option to upgrade to this service, just ask the delivery company when they call to schedule your delivery. You’ll have to pay an additional fee, but this is about as convenient as it gets.

How do you ensure the safety of fresh and frozen foods?

Food safety is our top priority, and we work really hard to make sure that everything you order meets safety standards both before and after your order is packed. Here’s how we do it:

Facility and associate training

All of our associates are trained in both food safety and NOOZ-specific handling and packing procedures, and our facility is regularly inspected by local and federal agencies. We also do internal food safety audits ourselves.

Temperature control

Our unique packing is designed to keep your frozen, chilled and ambient items protected from damage and spoilage. We ship 7 days a week with 1-2 day delivery and select zip codes are eligible for scheduled same- and next-day delivery. Either way, you don’t need to have to be home to receive the package. Please see your order confirmation e-mail for specific instructions.

Additional precautions

Every fresh grocery order is sealed with NOOZ tamper-evident tape to ensure the products are stored safely. Raw foods are specially bagged to prevent cross-contamination.

Your part

Once you open the box and inner insulated bags, put your groceries in the fridge or freezer as soon as possible. Put raw meat and seafood on the bottom shelf, away from and not in direct contact with ready-to-eat foods, and make sure to wash whole produce thoroughly before you eat it. This probably goes without saying, but packaged food products should be consumed by their Use-By dates as stated on their outer packaging.
